Synopsis: As the movie opens, Alice (Keke Palmer) spends her days as a slave on a rural Georgia plantation, desperately yearning for freedom. After a further violent conflict with the owner Paul, Alice runs away from the neighboring woods. And she stumbles upon the unfamiliar sight of a highway running from there.
