Synopsis: As the movie opens, Alice (Keke Palmer) spends her days as a slave on a rural Georgia plantation, desperately yearning for freedom. After a further violent conflict with the owner Paul, Alice runs away from the neighboring woods. And she stumbles upon the unfamiliar sight of a highway running from there. He soon learns that the year is actually 1973. Yes, 1973, and he and his fellow “domestic” were caught in a century-old bubble on a Georgia plantation. Where not much has changed since leaving.
