Synopsis: Umma 2022 is about Amanda and her 16-year-old daughter, Chrissy, who live a distant, happy life on their farm, cultivating bees and selling honey. They must shun electricity, which makes Amanda sick, in order to live in peace and harmony. Danny, who sells honey and provides supplies, is their sole touch with the outside globe. Amanda’s uncle returns from Korea one day with the news that her mother has died. He leaves a suitcase with the mom’s ashes and some of her belongings. Amanda begins to see spirits and hear her mother’s voice, who threatens her that they will always be united.
