Synopsis: Kate Valdez, a longtime Latin community favourite, has a history of high-profile marriages that have failed. Following Kate and Bastion’s decision to conduct their wedding ceremony in front of a live audience at one of Kate’s ceremonies, their song “Mary Me” became an international chart-topper. In other news, Charlie Gilbert, a divorced match teacher, joins Parker and her daughter Lou at a concert. Her feelings for her father have shifted recently. However, just as Kate was about to walk down the aisle, the tabloids discovered Bastion’s affair with their assistant Tyre and broadcast the concert to Kate’s fans. When Kate observed Charlie in the crowd waving Parker’s “Mary Me” placard, she became concerned. She enthusiastically accepts to marry him, much to Charlie’s and everyone else’s surprise. Of course, Charlie takes the stage and marries Kate in front of the entire world. Kate refuses to talk to Bastion or Tyre after she and Charlie leave the ceremony. The two are weird and modest to one another before Kate comes home with a shattered heart. The media is speculating about Kate’s mental state. Kate intended to marry Charlie for a few months to put a positive spin on the matter because she needed to respond to the media attention the next day. After spending time together away from the media and its scrutiny, they are finally becoming closer. Kate meets both Charlie’s students and Lou.
