Synopsis: Will watch “Hocus Pocus 2” and realize how they have wasted their time. But it’s very hard to seriously write about Hocus Pocus 2 in adult terms. In the movie, Allison and Max (the reigning virgin from the original film) are married. and is still living in Salem. They have a daughter named Poppy. Who doesn’t believe in witches? And the most popular girl in school is very confident in his crush on Isabella. She does exactly that. She lights the black candles and calls the witches back to town. And Halloween night gets hijinks. And Becca, like Isabella, has a serious thing for witches. Once again the candles are lit. And the witches come back to life. And that’s where the comparison ends. Becca has two best friends. Izzy is a Latina nerd and Casey with all the great one-liners and doesn’t have much personality in her own right. And after finding a boyfriend, Becca and Izzy get out of touch. Halloween doubles as Becca’s 16th birthday and things don’t go according to plan at the annual unpaid celebration of friends, bringing Winifred, Mary, and Sarah back from the dead. I know there is nothing more boring than a Millennial talking about 90s sadness! Waxing on about AOL dial-up is our “I walked 11 miles in the snow uphill.” And even now, everyone just girded their eyes. But it’s pretty clear early on, the opposite being an overall solid family Movie.
