Synopsis: It’s thought that Scorsese is trying to fit as much cinema as possible into this picture, including pairing up lifelong friends Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio against one another for the first time in a movie. Ernest Burkhart, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, is a menial World War I soldier who works for his uncle Bill Hale, an aloof cattleman with strong links to Oklahoma’s Osage Hills. And Bill says it would be wise for Ernest to get to know Molly even more after he meets her when he picks her up in his taxi as an Osage member. The Hales may potentially inherit some of the tribe oil rights if they married into a full-blooded Osage family.
