Synopsis: “The Burial” also enjoys the dark comedy unique to its culture. Willie is a humorous figure because he is inherently amusing, flamboyant, in over his head, and self-destructive. Fox does a fantastic job depicting all of those aspects without having Willy look foolish. And he appreciates Willie’s sweet, upbeat words of encouragement. The spirit and soul of Film Fox permeate this prototype David Vs. Goliath, from the hilariously written screenplay by Doug Wright and Bates to the lavish costumes created by costume designer Mirren Gordon-Crozier, from Willy’s appearance in ‘Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous’ to his wife’s velvet holiday gowns. Even if Foxx’s courtroom scenes adhere to very recognisable visual patterns, they yet have a feeling of suspense, dullness, and severity.
