Synopsis: Now, the primary focus of this feature revolves around the relationship between Ronnie Anne and her mother, Maria. Maria desires to spend more quality time with the family during this significant vacation in order to strengthen her bond with her young daughter. However, Ronnie Anne, who recently turned 12, yearns for more freedom and independence without feeling suffocated by her mother’s constant presence. Throughout the entire trip, the two have a strained connection. However, Maria eventually discovers that she, too, was once a 12-year-old girl who longed for independence, which she inherited from her own mother, Abuela Rosa, as it runs in the family. The key moral, in my own words, is that just because a daughter is growing up doesn’t mean the parent should continue treating her like a baby. It’s important to allow her to explore her independence. Over time, she will gradually learn about trust and responsibility. She aspires to be an independent woman while still cherishing her parents.
