Synopsis: The basic premise relies on tired tropes – two angsty teens longing for each other despite their differences. One is a brooding bad boy who plays piano and wears a leather jacket. The other is a gentle outcast who loves animals and wears bandages. This hackneyed setup aims for edgy romance but delivers shallow stereotypes. Both characters come from a tragic orphanage backstory, a lazy attempt to garner sympathy. However, the weak characterization and clichéd script fail to interest or invest the audience. Nica and Rigel read as one-dimensional caricatures rather than fully formed people. The clumsy writing brims with tired clichés. Director Alessandro Genovesi wants us to fall for the mysterious, roguish Rigel, but his creepy predatory pursuit of Nica proves too disturbing. He comes off more as a lurking sex pest than a compelling romantic lead. Their forced dynamic creates discomfort rather than connection.
