Synopsis: Abigail, a dedicated dancer, chooses “Swan Lake” as her ballet of choice and is captivated by the iconic music used throughout the performance. Despite her small stature, she exudes fierceness on the stage, which makes the task appear effortless to Frank, the profane leader of the criminal team. Frank assembles a peculiar group of hired individuals to carry out a kidnapping. In the first half of “Abigail,” real names and personal histories are kept to a minimum, except for Joey, who we get to know in great detail. Joey relies on candy to calm her nerves and her phone displays a photo of her with a child during happier times. Joey takes on the role of the group’s contact, attempting to keep Abigail calm while the rest of the team adjusts to their unfamiliar surroundings. Similar to the movie “Ready or Not,” the house quickly transforms into a prison, designed to conceal the dark family secrets from prying eyes. This sudden turn deeply unsettles the gang, as they find themselves facing their own demise when confronted by a vampire who utilizes balletic movements during chases and takes advantage of their unfamiliar territory.
