Synopsis: The plot follows Christmas Eve 1909 when Alabama team’s ship brought a toast for appreciation for those adventurers who gave their lives investigating the last obscure parts of the world. G.H. Jörgensen, Vilhelm Laub, Hans P. Olsen, George Poulsen, Carl Unger, and the youth Iver Iversen are the shipmates of Ejnar Mikkelsen’s. Iversen’s name was not in the original team list. We see Mikkelsen bringing Jörgensen back on a sledge as he gets harmed on the salvage mission. Different individuals hurried them inside the Alabama transport which they had changed over into living quarters. Jörgensen got seriously injured and one of his fingers in the leg must be executed. With Jorgensen debilitated now, Mikkelsen requests that his shipmates should volunteer and accompany him in an another salvage try. They were attempting to get a piece of proof that they knew would some way or another be covered in obscurity. No one is willing to pursue a mission that smelled of death.
