Synopsis: “Wolves Of War 2022” in this movie, This vintage British war drama has a military surplus vibe to it—the kind of film about the Second World War that modern moviegoers don’t need since their equipment is more advanced. In this made-up tale, a group of valiant British soldiers is sent on a mission to save an American scientist and his work on the atomic weapon from the Germans. The majority of the acting is excellent, and director Giles Alderson makes the most of what appears to be a meager budget. The lead actor Ed Westwick, though, has a face that doesn’t exactly scream grizzled combat veteran. His cheekbones and pout were perfect for playing egotistical rich kid Chuck Bass in Gossip Girl. Westwick portrays Jack Wallace, who we first meet in a mushy sentimental scene at the start of the war when he promises his small daughter he’ll survive. Six years later, Wallace is required to complete one last dangerously suicidal assignment before he can fulfill his commitment. He is a member of a group of about six troops who were dropped into Bavaria to kidnap Prof. Hopper (Rupert Graves). Hopper is a brilliant American physicist who created the atomic bomb while residing in Germany for 25 years. He is depicted as a hostage rather than a supporter of the Nazis. However, it’s never made clear why he remained in Germany for such a prolonged period of time. Surely, he would have recognized the signs as Hitler put together his war machine and fled.
