Synopsis: Oliver is the center of Marc’s universe, and “Good Grief” establishes his intoxicating focus during an opening holiday celebration, where he leads the room in a song. It’s an annual tradition, with Marc standing back to watch his husband work the room, spending time with Thomas, a man he dated 15 years ago, with the pair now tight friends. Sophie is a movie costumer and an extremely dramatic human being, happy to ride the highs and lows of her own relationships. Levy generates an atmosphere of social bonding and easy interplay, with Marc watching his husband own the room moments before he has to leave it, soon off on a trip to support his writing career. However, such a mission is immediately cut short, with Oliver killed right outside the building, bringing a sudden stop to all the love and support.
