Synopsis: Yaksha Ruthless Operations is a stunning film. The colours are vibrant, and the nighttime shots, particularly those of the skyline, are breathtaking. It’s a joy to watch, and the music in the background is fantastic. The picture is jam-packed with exciting spy action, intriguing characters, and an all-star cast. Prosecutor Ji-hoon discovers more than he bargained for while on an undercover NIS mission in Shenyang. You are drawn into the shadows alongside another operative, Yaksha, as he learns about the sordid underside of a region filled with spies. It’s a slow-burner with a lot of dialogue that’s thrilling at times. The film takes its time getting to Shenyang, but once there, it swiftly picks up the pace. The harsh operation, on the other hand, is motivated by politics rather than action. You’ll hear extensive sequences of discussions with brief glimpses into what’s going on. However, it is not at all what one would expect from a film of this genre. It’s fascinating to roam through China’s alleys, which are full of secrets and spies. Another thing that is unavoidable in action movies is, of course, action sequences.
